Welcome to Baseline. By accessing or using our tennis ladder application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Baseline, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Baseline. By using the service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
3. Account Registration and Security
When creating an account, you agree to:
Provide accurate and complete information
Maintain the security of your account credentials
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
Be responsible for all activity under your account
Not share your account with others
4. User Conduct
You agree NOT to:
Submit false match results or manipulate rankings
Harass, bully, or threaten other users
Post offensive, inappropriate, or illegal content
Impersonate others or create fake accounts
Use the service for commercial purposes without permission
Attempt to access unauthorized areas of the application
Interfere with the proper functioning of the service
Scrape or collect data without permission
5. Match Results and Rankings
Accuracy
Players are expected to report match results honestly and accurately. Both players must confirm match results for them to be official.
Rankings
Ladder rankings are calculated based on match results and club-specific rules. We reserve the right to adjust rankings if we detect manipulation or errors.
Disputes
If there's a dispute about a match result, contact your club administrator. We do not mediate individual match disputes.
6. Content and Intellectual Property
Your Content
You retain ownership of content you post (photos, posts, comments). By posting, you grant us a license to use, display, and distribute your content within the service.
Our Content
Baseline's branding, design, and functionality are protected by copyright and other laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property.
7. Club Administration
Club admins have additional responsibilities and powers:
Creating and managing ladders
Approving or removing members
Setting club rules and policies
Moderating club content and activity
Admins must use their powers responsibly and in accordance with these Terms.
8. Privacy and Data
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Your profile is visible to members of your clubs
You can control discoverability in settings
Match results and rankings are shared within clubs
9. Termination
By You
You may delete your account at any time from the settings page. Your data will be deleted or anonymized within 30 days.
By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
BASELINE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE:
Uninterrupted or error-free service
Accuracy of rankings or statistics
Security of your data
Compatibility with all devices
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF BASELINE.
11. Physical Activity and Safety
Tennis is a physical activity that carries inherent risks. By using Baseline to arrange matches:
You acknowledge these risks and assume all responsibility
You confirm you are physically capable of playing tennis
You agree to take appropriate safety precautions
We are not responsible for injuries sustained during matches
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of California.
